About us

The project “Vacation in Odessa” was founded in 2010 by the group of initiative people, who were in passionate love with their city. Here we want to let you know them a bit closer and to let you understand why do they do this project.

Jane

– was born in Odessa in 1984. When she is asked “Are you Odessite?” – she says, “You know, I don’t know who can be called more Odessite than me. All the members of my family were born in Odessa, including grand-grandparents”. She graduated from Odessa National University in 2007 and now works on developing global internet projects. About Odessa she says: “This is truly unique city. Here I found my life, my love and my inspiration. Wherever I travel (I do a lot!) – I’m always back to Odessa and I feel myself soul-connected with it. I can’t understand how it is possible – not to love this place? Apparently, people who think so – just didn’t get to know TRUE Odessa!”

Alex

– professional lawyer well-known in Odessa and across the country. Got his master degree in 2006 in the Odessa Law Academy University, worked in Kiev (the capital of Ukraine), was offered prospective contracts in different regions of the country. But decided to stay in Odessa in order to develop the city he is in love with and contribute his knowledge to it. Due to his profession has very many contacts from all over FSU and is always happy to show people the city. “I’m always willing to help people to discover REAL Odessa – not only tourist paths or well-known places, but sights that open the city in unusual way”.

Sasha and Nastya

Sasha and Nastya are twins and professional journalists. Though they are both only 21 year old — they have already written hundreds of articles for Odessa newspapers and fashion magazines. Sasha and Nastya are always know what interesting is happening in Odessa’s life today. Especially they are aware of the art events, as both of them are interested in contemporary art. Nastya is also a professional photographer, she had her own photo-exhibition not so long ago, so if you want to have really professional and artistic pictures — you know who is your friend in Odessa:))

One of the most frequently asked questions is - why do we do this work? The answer is simple – we are IN LOVE with Odessa and we are working to show people from all over the world that it is worthy to be loved. We have heard tens of stories that people who had visited Odessa – saw nothing except beach and Main Street of the city. For sure, they deserve to get better service, and we are working to help everyone who visits our city to feel the atmosphere of REAL Odessa. None of us is professional guide, so we won’t tell you boring stories from the history textbook. Instead of that we’ll take you to the best places in the city, we’ll show you the best restaurants, advise the best accommodation and will provide everything to make your vacation in Odessa UNFORGETTABLE.
