Last Saturday our team had a great journey. We had provided wine-tour for our tourists and had a pleasure to accompany them for visiting the factory of Guliev Wines.
Guliev Wines have long history. They take their beginning from the oldest wine-plant in the region — OdessaVinProm, that was founded in 1857. Since that times factory has bottled millions of wine bottles. And in the end of 20th century it was headed by the Guliev family, that is in passionate love with wine for several generations already. It was their idea — to create the first author’s wine in Ukraine that would represent our country on the international market. The Guliev Wine» plant was built as a completely new enterprise in 2005, and in 2007 first bottle of this top-quality product appeared.
Guliev wines are produced from the grape that is being grew up in Ukraine, so we can be sure that this is 100 % local, true Ukrainian wine. The plant is situated 20 kilometres from Odessa, and the square of their vineyards is 750 hectars. Also one of the features of the plant is speed of production, as time of grapes delivery to the winery is extremely essential. Every bunch cut even in the furthest corner of the vineyard gets to the production no more than 20 minutes. This is a record even among European standards.
One can say 100.000 words about the plant, but it is really hard to describe the adorable taste of Guliev wines we tasted there, as degustation was included to our trip. We can try to do that of course… but better we’ll invite you to that place, full of magic and calmness. You’ll meet a true legend there and will understand, that Ukrainian wine-makers now do have, what to be proud of. That’s for sure.
